I started composing on the penny whistle four years ago and quickly moved onto the Native American flute, a bamboo whistle that I was given in Spain and even a reproduction eagle bone whistle. I started demoing the pieces I composed with an old friend, Alan Mathews. Alan helped me add drums, shakers and background vocals. These pieces are now four years old and I plan to release them as a mid-priced collection with original art work. Response to the music has been positive and who knows perhaps Albannach will help me showcase a couple of the tracks live during the spring tour.

I've been recording on and off for over 20 years, as well as being bass player for a Scottish Folk band the "Cuddies", bassist with football/soccer punk band "Reaction", vocalist, bodhran player with the "Whiskey Devils" and the more familiar role bodhran playing lunatic with Albannach.

I joined the Cuddies in 1995. I played bass guitar for three years. 100 gigs and as many parties, including highland bothies. We were a five piece folk band and had a loyal following. No recorded work exists, there is however a live video. It is so OLD, that I have a full head of hair. The band disbanded in 1998.

I formed a folk-band called the Whiskey Devils, along with Sandy Goldie of the Cuddies, in 1999. We played solidly for two years, including television and radio. We started as an eight piece and finished as a four piece. We released a CD, called "Wild as Heather" which sold well at the gigs we played. There is also footage of a television Hogmany show, that we appeared on. The band disbanded in 2001, after one to many personell change. I later went on to join Clann an Drumma
